Minneapolis man admits he stole from same bank 3 times
A 21-year-old man pleaded guilty Wednesday to robbing the same U.S. Bank branch three different times, federal authorities said.
Nathan Lamar Stewart of Minneapolis admitted in federal court that with the help of others, he robbed the bank at 4930 34th Ave. S. last year on April 13, May 8 and July 28.
Authorities said a total of more than $15,000 was taken from the bank on those three occasions, which they called "take-over style" robberies. According to court documents, the group used guns to intimidate people in the bank.
Stewart pleaded guilty to three counts of bank robbery and one count of carrying a gun during the commission of a violent crime.
Stewart's co-defendants, 24-year-old Curtis Devone Williams, 23-year-old Michael Deon Hughes and 22-year-old D'Arco Kellum all pleaded guilty to their crimes earlier.
Each face up to 20 years in prison, but the judge hasn't sentenced them yet.
