St. Paul Saints to hold tryouts

If you think you can play baseball, it's time to show your stuff to the St. Paul Saints.

The independent minor-league team holds tryouts Thursday at Midway Stadium. Registration opens at 8 a.m. with tryouts starting at 9 a.m.

Players need to bring their own equipment, such as a glove, baseball pants, cleats and wooden bat. They'll get a chance to show their skills at one position and take batting practice.

In case of rainout, tryouts will be rescheduled for Friday, starting at 9 a.m.
