2 teens die after western Minn. crash

Another car crash has killed teenagers on Minnesota roads.

Swift County authorities say two boys died and a third boy was seriously injured after their car apparently struck the side of a semi-truck at an intersection about three miles southeast of Benson, in western Minnesota, about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The sheriff's office says 16-year-old Cody DeVaan of rural DeGraff and 15-year-old Benjamin Mast of Benson were thrown from the car and were pronounced dead at a hospital;.

Authorities say the 17-year-old who was driving the car was airlifted to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale. He was in fair condition Thursday.

The 33-year-old man driving the semi was treated for minor injuries.

Seven teens died in separate crashes across Minnesota during one weekend last month.
