Minn. adventurer's home featured on designers tour
The Minneapolis home of adventurer and "Blue Zones" author Dan Buettner will be featured on this year's showcase home tour.
Buettner's house on Lake of the Isles got a makeover from a team of designers from the Minnesota chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers, or ASID.
In "The Blue Zones," Buettner visited four spots on the globe where people live into their 90s and 100s. Each room in his house was remodeled to include a tribute to his book.
Also featured on the 14th annual tour is a modern three-bedroom condo overlooking Lake Calhoun.

Public tours begin Saturday and continue through June 13. Tickets are available at the door, online or at various outlets.
