Mesabi East student dies after welding incident
A junior at Mesabi East has died from complications following a welding incident at the high school.
The Mesabi Daily News reports Friday that Jordon Adams-Meckola of Aurora died Wednesday at the Miller Dwan Burn Center in Duluth. The newspaper reports the boy was injured April 26.
Mesabi East Superintendent Shawn Northey released few details about the incident, saying it is being investigated by the school and by a third party.
Northey says that after the incident, all instructors were required "to double check and triple check" equipment and procedures.

A funeral for Adams-Meckola is scheduled for Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Aurora.
