Life in prison for fatal drug shooting

A man whose brother helped convict him has been sentenced to life in prison for a fatal shooting in St. Cloud.

Stearns County Judge Vicki Landwehr sentenced Keonne Palmer on a first-degree murder conviction in the shooting death of Ernest Moss. Palmer was convicted in February of killing Moss outside the victim's house.

Court records say Palmer and his brother Da'Leino Palmer went to Moss' home to get money for drugs. An argument started, and Da'Leino Palmer pulled a gun from his waistband. Court testimony indicates that Keonne Palmer grabbed the gun and shot Moss.

The St. Cloud Times says Da'Leino Palmer pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and testified against his brother. He was sentenced to 26 years in prison.
