Police find their man among 6,000 baseball fans

Police knew a man wanted for felony assault was attending a St. Paul Saints baseball game.

But, their mission was to find the 68-year-old Forest Lake man among 6,000 fans attending Sunday's game at Midway Stadium.

St. Paul Sgt. Paul Schnell says the answer to finding the man was simple. Police had him paged over the public address system and told him to report to his car. Schnell says the suspect didn't show up, but someone with him did. Officers followed that person back to the stadium and the seats where the two were sitting.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press says the man was arrested without incident.
