Minn. man sentenced for tribal center fire

A Nett Lake man has been sentenced for setting fire to the Bois Forte Reservation Tribal Center in northeastern Minnesota last July.

U.S. District Judge Patrick Schiltz on Monday sentenced 21-year-old William Lynn Isham to 41 months in prison on one count of arson.

Isham pleaded guilty in November. In his plea agreement, Isham admitted setting fire to the reservation's tribal center.

Two witnesses told authorities that earlier that evening of July 20, Isham said he wanted to burn down the center. The U.S. Attorney's office says Isham then disappeared and when he returned bragged about setting fire to the building and a vehicle in front of it.
