Concordia College president dies

The president of Concordia College in Moorhead died Wednesday afternoon after suffering an early morning stroke at her home.

Pamela Jolicoeur, 65, was president of the college since 2004. She spent 32 years at California Lutheran University before coming to Concordia.

The chair of the college's board of regents said it's a devastating day for the Concordia College community. Jolicoeur served on the boards of several organizations including Minnesota Public Radio.

She was a member of the sociology faculty from 1972 to 1993. She was vice president of academic affairs from 1993 to 1996 and served as provost and dean of the faculty from 1996 to 2004.
