The Minnesota Twins said Monday advance ticket sales for the 2010 inaugural season at Target Field have topped three million.

The ball club hasn't reached that mark in ticket sales since 1988, the year after the Twins' World Championship season.

The Twins are averaging about 39,000 in paid attendance through 33 games this season to put the franchise in the top six clubs in Major League Baseball.

The Twins trail the New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies, Los Angeles Dodgers, St. Louis Cardinals and Los Angeles Angels in average attendance.

Twins ticket operations director Paul Froehle says single-game tickets are still available.
