Crews have finished repairing three gusset plates on the Highway 43 bridge over the Mississippi River in Winona.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation said Thursday that the bridge is now open.
Work began Tuesday and crews thought they would need to work into next week, but the repairs were completed early.
Corrosion was found on several gusset plates during last week's in-depth inspection. Full inspection results will be available in mid-July.
The bridge is scheduled for a full overhall or replacement in 2014. (Copyright 2010 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
