Sheriff: French citizen leaves US after sex charge

Authorities say a French citizen has left the United States after being accused of sexually abusing a 10-year-old boy at a language camp in northern Minnesota.

Twenty-nine-year-old Adrien Massy of St. Louis Park is charged with second-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Massy was a teacher's assistant at the French Academy of Minnesota in St. Louis Park. He's accused of sexually abusing the boy in June during a trip to Concordia Language Villages in Bemidji.

A warrant says Massy was fired and left the country. Beltrami County Sheriff Phil Hodapp says Massy's last known location was Iceland.

Veronique Liebmann, director of the French Academy, says the school is cooperating.

Executive Director Christine Schulze of Concordia Language Villages says, "The safety and well-being of students is our primary concern."
