A Burnsville man is in custody for a fatal shooting at a Rosemount car wash.
Police say the 27-year-old man surrendered to Burnsville police Wednesday. He's being held in the Dakota County Jail in the death of 22-year-old Anthony Hartman of Apple Valley.
Police and family members say Hartman was trying to intervene in a dispute between a friend and the gunman when he was killed at Car Spa Monday night.
Police Chief Gary Kalstabakken tells the Pioneer Press it's not clear what started the argument between the victim's friend and the gunman.

Kalstabakken says the suspect was parked in a car wash bay and shot Hartman several times with a handgun near the vending machine area. Hartman died at the scene.
