Alcohol suspected in crash that killed 11-year-old boy

Authorities said they believe one of the drivers in head-on crash in Burnsville that killed an 11-year-old boy had been drinking.
The boy's parents and sister were also injured Sunday about 8 p.m. when a driver crossed the median on Highway 13 into oncoming traffic and hit two other vehicles. The Minnesota State Patrol said alcohol was detected on the 27-year-old driver, who suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The boy was pronounced dead at the scene. His father was airlifted to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale with serious injuries. His mother and sister were taken to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.
The driver of the third vehicle involved in the crash was not injured. ---
