Death of man found in creek investigated
Hennepin County sheriff's deputies and local police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in a creek in Golden Valley.
The man's body was found by two men who were kayaking with their children in Bassett Creek near Theodore Wirth Park on Sunday.
One of the men, John Munnich, told WCCO-TV that the body appeared to be in the water for a few days.
He says the body wasn't visible from shore.
