A North Dakota telemarketing company plans to open a Minnesota branch that will employ about 200 people.
Jerry Maley owns Fargo, N.D.-based Performance Centers Inc. He says the company will open a center in early August in downtown Duluth.
Maley tells the Duluth News Tribune the company has outgrown the available work force in Fargo. He says the company chose Duluth because it has a good work force and is close to Fargo.
The telemarketing salaries will start at $9 per hour but could rise to as much as $14 per hour with incentives.

Drew Digby is an analyst with the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development. He says the area would prefer higher-paying jobs, but these are good for people with fewer options.
