Entenza gives campaign another $620K in gov race

Democratic Matt Entenza gave his gubernatorial campaign another $620,000 last week, bringing his total personal donations to more than $4.5 million as he heads into a competitive three-way primary.

That's more than outgoing Republican Gov. Tim Pawlenty spent on his entire campaign four years ago.

Entenza's latest donation was detailed in a campaign report filed on Friday. He is a St. Paul attorney and former state legislator who is married to a former UnitedHealth Group Inc. executive.

Entenza is vying with former U.S. Sen. Mark Dayton and House Speaker Margaret Anderson Kelliher in the Aug. 10 primary. The winner will face Republican Tom Emmer and an Independence Party candidate.
