US Bank online banking restored; power outage blamed

US Bank officials said online banking service has been restored following a power outage that affected customers nationwide.

US Bank spokeswoman Teri Charest said that while customers now have access to their accounts, they might notice that their accounts aren't up to date.

"The outage did result in some processing delays, so those are being updated now and balances should all be updated by the end of the day," Charest said.

The power outage occurred at the US Bank operations center in St. Paul on Tuesday night.

Charest said she doesn't know exactly how many customers were effected, but says the operations facility services online accounts across the country.

She said US Bank officials are sorry for the incovenience.
