2 dead, 3 hurt in crash near Glyndon in NW Minn.

Two people have died and three were injured in a two-vehicle crash east of the northwestern Minnesota town of Glyndon.

The State Patrol says the broadside crash happened about 5 p.m. Sunday at intersection of Highways 10 and 9 near the Buffalo River Race Park.

Lt. Chuck Backes told The Forum of Fargo, N.D., a car with three people was headed south on Highway 9 when it failed to yield for a pickup that was westbound on Highway 10. He says the pickup broadsided the car, and occupants of the car needed to be extricated.

The driver of the car and the back-seat passenger died - one at the scene and the other at a Fargo hospital. Their names have not been released.
