Body of Minn. dentist headed back from Afghanistan

The family of a Minnesota native killed while volunteering his medical services in Afghanistan is making funeral plans while waiting for word when Dr. Thomas Grams' body will arrive home.

Grams' brother, Craig Grams, says the dentist will be interred in his hometown of Park Rapids, Minn. Craig Grams says the family hadn't heard when or where Grams' remains will arrive.

The U.S. Embassy in Kabul said Wednesday that the bodies of four of the six Americans were being flown home and had left Baghram air base there aboard a military plane. Craig Grams confirmed his brother's remains were among them.

Grams gave up his practice in Colorado about four years ago to tend to poor children in Afghanistan, India and Nepal. Grams was among 10 killed in an ambush Thursday.
