A Faribault man is accused of driving while impaired in a fatal river crash.
Mitchell Ryan Bongers, 22, faces arraignment in Rice County District Court Wednesday in the crash that killed Brittney Landsverk, 20. She was a passenger in a car that plunged into the Cannon River in April. Her body was found in June, less than a mile downstream from the crash site.
The Faribault Daily News says Bongers faces felony charges, including causing a fatal accident with a blood alcohol content above .08. Bongers also faces misdemeanor charges.
Bongers was critically injured in the crash. Two other passengers weren't hurt.
