Police say one person has died and another was gravely injured in two separate traffic accidents in northeast Minneapolis.
One of two elderly people in a car died after it went out of control and hit a school bus before crashing into a pole Monday afternoon. Police say a medical emergency apparently caused the driver of the car to lose control.
Eleven children from Northeast Middle School were on the school bus at the time, but none of the children or the bus driver were injured.
Police say a male bicyclist in his 30s was run over in a separate crash Monday afternoon.
Police initially said he had been killed, but KMSP-TV reports police later said he was alive in grave condition Monday night at Hennepin County Medical Center.
Names have not been released.
