The wife of a man shot to death in his rural home in Lake Crystal has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder.
The Free Press of Mankato reports 33-year-old Jennifer Lee Nibbe was arrested Friday afternoon and charges were filed in Blue Earth County District Court.
She was in the county jail Friday evening and unavailable for comment.
On Aug. 31, she frantically called 911 to report an intruder wearing a nylon cover on his head shot and killed her 26-year-old husband, James Nibbe.

However, the criminal complaint says investigators were suspicious. For one thing, despite the rain there were no fresh tire tracks or footprints around the home.
Investigators later learned she had been fraudulently obtaining prescription drugs and had been "sexting" with another man.
