Reward offered for Plymouth bank robbers

The FBI is searching for a pair of armed bank robbers who forced their way into a Plymouth bank earlier this week, stole money from the vault, and left their victims bound and blindfolded.

FBI spokesman Kyle Loven says Wednesday that the robbery at the US Bank in Plymouth raises concern because it shows an escalation in violence.

Authorities believe the pair is responsible for an earlier bank robbery in Champlin and an attempted bank robbery in Chanhassen - but neither of those incidents were this violent.

In the most recent robbery, the suspects were wearing masks and used a semiautomatic handgun and a knife to force bank employees to the vault as the bank was just opening on Monday.
