Minneapolis police arrest man in fatal hit-and-run

Minneapolis police have arrested a man in a hit-and-run crash in south Minneapolis that left one person dead and three others injured.

Police responded to the crash at 18th Avenue South and East 35th Street at about 11 p.m. Monday night. The driver of one of the vehicles had fled on foot, and all four people in the other vehicle were taken to Hennepin County Medical Center. The driver of the car died early Monday morning from his injuries, police said.

Police said they are continuing to follow leads in the case. The conditions of the three injured passengers were not immediately available.
