Police say the man killed by a hit-and-run driver in Minneapolis was a researcher at the University of Minnesota.
Authorities say Ethan Johnson was just a block from home when a driver ran a stop sign and struck his car late Monday night. Johnson's wife and parents were also in the car and were taken to Hennepin County Medical Center. Johnson's father, Stephen, remained hospitalized in serious condition.
KSTP-TV says Johnson would have been 38 years old Wednesday.
Police have arrested a 24-year-old Deer River man suspected of causing the crash.
