St. Paul man killed after argument, another wounded

Authorities say one man is dead and another wounded in the leg after an argument at a party led to a shooting in St. Paul.

Police say the shooting happened about 3:30 a.m. Sunday outside an apartment building on Oakley Avenue, between Lynnhurst and Prior avenues.

Officers arrived to find one man dead in the street. Another man had been shot in the leg. He was taken to Regions Hospital with injuries that were not life threatening.

The names of the victims are not being released.

Police spokesman Andy Skoogman says multiple shots were fired. He says authorities believe the victims and gunman were arguing in the building shortly before the shooting.
