Apple Valley police say the woman who died after rear-ending a school bus was from the southern Twin Cities suburb of Eagan.
The Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner's office has preliminarily identified the victim as 78-year-old Gloria Deane Carlson.
Police say she was killed Monday when she rear-ended a Rosemount-Apple Valley School District bus that had stopped to make a left turn.
There were no other passengers in the car.
The bus driver and the 19 students on the bus were not hurt.
