Police in Verndale say a 5-year-old girl suffered minor cuts and bruises after she was hit by a car while getting off a school bus in central Minnesota.
The girl had gotten off a Wadena Deer Creek school bus Monday afternoon and was walking around the front of the bus when a car driven by a 90-year-old woman passed the bus and struck the girl.
The girl was kept overnight at a hospital for observation. The driver of the car was not hurt.
