A St. Paul man is accused of punching his girlfriend in the face and forcing her into a dog kennel when she tried to break up with him.
Luke Brandon Scott, 29, is charged with assault, false imprisonment and making terroristic threats.
His 21-year-old girlfriend told police Scott wouldn't let her leave his house Monday night when she told him she wanted to end their relationship. She says Scott attacked her and forced her into the kennel.
Police say the woman told investigators she pleaded with Scott to let her go and he finally agreed. She says she walked to a nearby gas station and called police.
