A Jordan woman has died after she was struck by a car while getting her mail.
The accident happened Saturday afternoon on Highway 169 at 173rd Street.
The State Patrol said Sunday that 76-year-old Joyce P. Chermak was walking from the mailbox when she crossed in front of a southbound vehicle and was struck. She died at the scene.
The driver of the car, a 41-year-old New Prague man, was not injured.
The accident remains under investigation.
