Father, son drown in northern Minn. lake
A father and son have drowned after their boat overturned on Ball Club Lake in northern Minnesota.
Itasca County Sheriff Pat Medure says the bodies of 84-year-old Lawrence Gotchie and 51-year-old Ernest Gotchie, both of Ball Club, were discovered Sunday evening in about six feet of water.
The Duluth News Tribune reports the men were not wearing life jackets.
The men had been netting fish on the lake and were reported overdue at about 4:15 p.m. Sunday. The sheriff says their bodies were found within an hour.
