St. Paul police investigating recent abduction attempts

St. Paul police are investigating four recent reports of men trying to lure teen girls into their vehicles.

Police spokesman Andy Skoogman said police received two reports last week. Since then, they've received two more similar reports.

"So our investigators are trying to determine whether there are any connections between these incidents, but at this point it does not appear that any of them are linked," Skoogman said.

Skoogman said in each case the girls ran away from the vehicle. Police are working off of rough descriptions the girls gave of the men and the vehicles they were driving.

No arrests have been made.

The most recent incident happened Saturday evening when a man tried to get a 14-year-old girl to come to his white van. It happened near Third Street East and North Mendota Street in St. Paul.
