A collision involving a school bus on eastbound I-94 in St. Paul resulted in no major injuries, according to St. Paul Public Schools spokesman Howie Padilla.
The bus carrying 21 students was traveling between Hamline and Lexington Avenues when it struck two cars in front of it shortly after 6 p.m.
One student who was complaining of chest pain was sent to the hospital as a precaution. The students were taken off the bus and were given alternate transportation home this evening.
Matt Langer, of the State Patrol, said the bus is operated by Sunburst Transit, a company that contracts with St. Paul Public Schools. Langer said that the bus driver was not arrested and there is no evidence that the driver was impaired at the time of the crash.
