Kaler gets praise from NY legislators

“As I often say, individuals have either good kindergarten experiences or they don’t,” LaValle said. “I think that Eric has had a good kindergarten experience. He knows how to work well with other people. I’ve watched him as the provost on the campus from afar.”

-- New York legislator Ken LaValle, who as member of the Senate Higher Education Committee, worked with University of Minnesota president-elect Eric Kaler while Kaler was at Stony Brook University. In a Minnesota Daily story, he praised Kaler’s style of negotiation and collaboration while working to craft policy.
