SCSU students approve athletic fee hike

Students at St. Cloud State University have approved an athletic fee increase, saving Husky football and other sports.

Students approved two questions to increase student athletic fees by $1.74 a credit.

Student Government President Amanda Bardonner says the two questions will nearly double athletic fees for the students, and will bring in an additional $601,000 a year.

WJON-AM reports St. Cloud State President Earl Potter addressed the student government Thursday and pledged not to cut any sports in the next two years.
