SW Minn. man's death blamed on snowstorm

The death of a southwest Minnesota man is being blamed on this week's snowstorm.

Rock County Sheriff Evan Verbrugge says the victim's car slid off the road during the storm near the small town of Kenneth.

"The driver, Arnold Halverson, 64, of Kenneth ... got out of his vehicle and it's unknown if he was walking towards Kenneth or going to walk to his residence," he Verbrugge said. "[We're] unsure if he slipped and fell but he was found next to the vehicle."

The Sheriff says Halverson's body was found just before noon Tuesday. He says it's not known when Halverson's vehicle went off the road.
