Man accused of bringing weapons to City Hall
A man who authored a book on legally carrying handguns in Minnesota has been accused of bringing weapons into Minneapolis City Hall.
Authorities say the 55-year-old man had a shoulder holster with a handgun and a straight blade knife beneath it when he entered City Hall Nov. 5 for a prearranged meeting a police department sergeant.
He was asked to leave with his weapons which are illegal in the government building, but he refused. WCCO-TV says he faces a felony charge of bringing a dangerous weapon into the building and contempt of court.
