Snow, freezing drizzle slow Minn. morning commute

Dozens of school districts across southern Minnesota are starting classes two hours late due to a snowstorm that dumped 4 to 6 inches over much of the region.

The National Weather Service says Hutchinson has reported 7.4 inches of snow since Monday, while Minneapolis got around 5 inches.

A mixture of light snow and freezing drizzle is slowing the Tuesday morning commute in the Twin Cities.

Snow emergency parking restrictions are in effect in Minneapolis and St. Paul.

Flight operations are mostly normal at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, though flights to Chicago are being delayed because of bad weather at O'Hare airport.
