College baseball player to be sworn in as Minn. mayor

A big week is shaping up for St. Cloud State baseball player Kent Koch.

On Monday the senior captain and second baseman starts practice for the Huskies' upcoming season. And on Tuesday he gets sworn in as the mayor of his hometown of Loretto.

The 23-year-old ran unopposed for the two-year term and won the job in November.

Koch also will be responsible for running the City Council meetings. He tells WJON-AM that he's already met with some of his fellow council members.
