2 indicted in Red Lake shooting that left 1 dead

Two Redby men have been indicted in a shooting on the Red Lake Indian Reservation that left one man dead and two others injured.

The indictment made public Thursday charges 22-year-old Donald Leigh Clark Jr. and 22-year-old Cruze Anthony White with five counts, including murder and assault with intent to commit murder.

Julian DeMarrias died after the Nov. 3 street shooting in Redby, in which multiple shots were fired. The complaint says both groups of men had weapons.

Clark was arrested Saturday, found hiding under a blanket in a car. White is at large and considered armed and dangerous.

A police report says that weeks before the shooting, Clark and White pointed a shotgun at DeMarrias' sister and asked about her brothers' whereabouts.

A message left with Clark's attorney was not immediately returned Thursday.
