MnSCU chancellor finalists face public interviews

The two finalists to become the new chancellor of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system will be in St. Paul on Tuesday for public interviews with small groups of trustees and system leaders.

On Monday, the board of trustees unanimously named as finalists Steven Rosenstone, vice president for scholarly and cultural affairs at the University of Minnesota; and William Sederburg, Utah commissioner of higher education.

They are scheduled for interviews from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and then again on Wednesday morning. The trustees are to make their pick Wednesday afternoon.

The new chancellor will replace James McCormick, who is retiring this summer after 10 years on the job.
