Minnesota climber Lonnie Dupre is back in
his home state after cutting short his solo attempt to climb North
America's highest mountain.


      Dupre, who's from Grand Marais (muh-ray), arrived Wednesday at
Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.


      Dupre tried to become the person to climb Alaska's Mount
McKinley alone in January. He made it 17,000 feet up the more than
20,000-foot mountain, but brutal weather forced him down last week.


      Dupre tells KSTP-TV that he might consider another try at the
climb next January.
