Franken, Dayton to attend flood prep meetings

Sen. Al Franken and Gov. Mark Dayton plan to visit Moorhead and Crookston to discuss flood preparations in both communities.

The Forum newspaper reports that Friday's meetings will involve key federal, state and local officials in the Red River Valley, where a significant risk for major flooding is forecast in many areas.

The Crookston meeting begins at 12:30 p.m. in the Campus Ballroom of the University of Minnesota at Crookston.

The Moorhead meeting is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. at City Hall.
