Gophers games will be moving to the right on the AM dial.
The University of Minnesota announced Tuesday that Gophers broadcasts will leave their longtime home at WCCO 830 to KFAN and KSTP, the Twin Cities' two all-sports radio stations.
Football games will air on KFAN 1130 and KTLK 100.3 FM beginning this fall. Basketball and hockey will be heard on KSTP 1500. Both contracts are for three years and include coach's shows and other programming. Athletics department spokesman Gary Bowman says no final decisions have been made on who will call the games at the new locations.
Gophers football has been on WCCO for the last 68 years and basketball and hockey have aired there for at least half of that time.
