House GOP overall cut to higher ed mirrors Senate's
The Minnesota House has released its budget targets, and calls for a 15.1 percent reduction ($444,000) in funding to higher education from this year's level.
The proposed House appropriation is the same as the Senate's ($2.51 billion). Because the estimation of spending for this year is a little different, the Senate's cut ends up looking larger at 16 percent.
