Blizzard warning posted for NE Minnesota

A spring storm could bring a return to winter-like weather in northeastern Minnesota.

The National Weather Service posted a blizzard warning for the Duluth area and a winter storm warning for the rest of northern Minnesota. Forecasters say there's a potential for 12 to 18 inches of snow, possibly more depending on how the storm tracks.

The Duluth News Tribune says the heaviest snow is expected from Bemidji to Hayward, Wis., through the Twin Ports area.

Southern Minnesota is expected to see mostly rain.
