So are there a lot of bicyclists at the University of Minnesota and Macalester College?
Should be, since the League of American Bicyclists has ranked the U 9th most bike-friendly campus in the U.S., and Mac has earned an honorable mention.
It's the first year of the rankings, and you can view the announcement here and the list of top-ranked schools here.
The league mentions the U, which placed in the "silver" category, for its "convenient bike parking." (I guess it's thinking of the image above.)
The city of Minneapolis won as well, receiving a gold award in the business category.
The schools are judged in five bike-related categories: engineering, education, encouragement, enforcement, and evaluation & planning.
