Winona State University may be dropping its Zipcar car rental program because not enough people have been using it, Winona 360 reports.
The program seems to be working at the University of Minnesota, the article states, but Winona officials seem puzzled about the lack of ridership considering previously reported demand for it and Winona State's low car-ownership:
Research shows 2,500 students live in the residence halls and at least half of those students don’t have cars at college. Even with approximately 80 students signed up for the program, they haven’t used the services enough to sustain it.
