Minneapolis teen dies 5 years after being shot

The father of a Minneapolis teenager who died recently after he was shot and paralyzed nearly five years ago wants new charges against the shooter.

Sixteen-year-old Victor Rosenbloom Jr. was walking with his girlfriend in south Minneapolis in 2006. Shots rang out and Rosenbloom was caught in the crossfire. He was hit in the neck and paralyzed. Rosenbloom died last month. His father, Victor Rosenbloom Sr. tells WCCO-TV the man who shot his son should be charged with murder.

The shooter, Frankie Tyson, was convicted of first-degree aggravated assault and is serving 8 years at the Stillwater prison. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner has ruled Rosenbloom's death a homicide. The county attorney's office is reviewing the case.
